MELBOURNE, Jan 19 AAP - Australian cricket legend David Hookes was tenaciously clinging
to life in hospital today after being knocked to the ground in a scuffle outside a bayside
Melbourne hotel last night.

Tributes and expressions of sympathy flowed for Hookes and his family as a man arrested
over the incident faced Melbourne Magistrates Court.
