NSW: 80,000 turn out for Great Stadium Walk

SYDNEY, Feb 21 AAP - New South Wales Olympics Minister Michael Knight said the huge turnout
for today's Great Stadium Walk showed the public still supported the Sydney Games despite the
international Olympic bribery scandal.

An estimated 80,000 people took the opportunity to walk around the athletics track inside
Stadium Australia at Homebush Bay, which will house the opening and closing ceremonies of the
2000 Olympics.

It was the public's first opportunity to see inside the 110,000-seat stadium which will
open with a rugby league double-header …
