Cbeyond Aims Cloud Servers at SMBs
Type: News
Cbeyond, Inc., a provider of IT and communications services to small businesses, announced the company has made virtual servers and managed dedicated servers, a recent addition to its portfolio of technology solutions, available to small and medium-sized businesses across the U.S. and in more than 60 countries.
Through the acquisition in November 2010 of MaximumASP, the 2009 Microsoft Worldwide Hosting Partner of the Year, Cbeyond is now delivering technology services in the cloud, positioning Cbeyond as a national provider of cloud services, the Company said. Virtual and dedicated servers by Cbeyond are now available through all of Cbeyond's sales channels.
"We are excited to announce that virtual and dedicated servers powered by Cbeyond are now available to all of our current Cbeyond customers and to businesses nationwide," said Brooks Robinson, president of the Cbeyond Cloud Services division. "We see cloud services as a key growth catalyst for small and medium-sized businesses in 2011. If businesses are serious about growth in 2011, it's time to look to the cloud."
According to a release, with Cbeyond Cloud Servers, small and medium-sized businesses can access critical data and applications from the Internet rather than hosting it on-site. Businesses can select the Cbeyond package that fits their specific needs and Cbeyond provides the server, operating system, anti-virus and monitors and manages them 100 percent of the time.
"Cbeyond's Cloud Servers keeps my sanity in check. The server requires very little configuration and all the updates are automatically done - now that is peace of mind!" said Shawn Bordeaux, chief information officer for Just Right Auto Sales, a Cbeyond Cloud Services customer that also leverages Cbeyond's broadband, data and security solutions to run and grow his business.
"The benefits of Cbeyond Cloud Servers to small and medium-sized businesses are endless," said Silas Boyle, co-founder of MaximumASP and now vice president of Cbeyond Cloud Services. "Predictable expenses, anywhere access, business continuity, automated maintenance, scalability and reliability are just to name a few."
